After the History & Getting the Agreement
A lot of time is spent on the History, so there needs to be time for wrap-up and obtain the client’s agreement before proceeding. This workshop will introduce some ways of doing that.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the Composite Personality and how it’s formed.
- Understand the importance of forming and maintaining a strong client rapport.
- Be able to explain basic suggestions and hypnosis using a diagram and a few words.
- Realize that we are not healing. We are contacting the Healer within the client.
Presenters
Don Hardy-Holley, past president of AACH, has had extensive experience with hypnosis since 1973. He started his training with AACH in 1994. Don has been in private practice in San Antonio, Texas, since 1986, two years after completing a master’s degree in educational psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After training with AACH, he changed his entire practice to focus on using Clinical Hypnoanalysis.
Don has extensive experience teaching adults about hypnosis. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate by AACH.
Pemba Bayo is a hypnoanalyst in Chicago, IL. Pemba has served people of all ages as a child development center director, elder caregiver, case manager, and now as a licensed clinical social worker. Pemba was fortunate to receive life-changing hypnoanalysis with Don Hardy-Holley, MA, LPC, LMFT, NCC, and was thoroughly persuaded that Hypnoanalysis is the treatment of choice for those ready to resolve past trauma, making room for the present.
